The Parity Committee is not a union.

Contrary to a union whose main mission is to defend the rights of its members, the Parity Committee for security guards ensures that the provisions of the Decree respecting security guards are enforced, respected and encouraged in order to ensure that the rights of employees are respected while promoting healthy competition between employers in the industry.

Indeed, we also encourage employers to denounce situations where another employer of the industry does not comply with the Decree. Our inspectors are trained to investigate confidentially, without revealing the identity of a whistleblower.
